Vegan Sausage Rolls

These sausage rolls use a meat alternative mince, with our traditional sausage roll seasoning, youd never know they werent meat!

Most of our seasonings are completely plant based, and can be used with any meat alternative!

These are wrapped in a filo pastry - but you can use any pastry you prefer.


  • 10 filo pastry sheets

  • 500g meat alternative mince

  • 50g old english sausage mix

  • 1 apple - grated

  • 1tbsp nigella seeds

  • 50g plant based spread - melted


  1. In a large bowl, combine the mince, apple, sausage mix and 50 ml water, mix until combined and set aside for 30 minutes to firm up.

  2. Lay a sheet of filo flat and brush with melted spread, roll a log shape of sausage meat and place at the top of the filo sheet, fold over the edges and roll until it reaches the end of the sheet.

  3. Repeat this step until all of the pastry / sausage meat has been used.

  4. Cut each one in half and transfer to a lined baking tray, brush with melted spread all over and top with nigella seeds.

  5. Cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden or in the air fryer for 10-15 minutes.
