Traditional Haggis

A Scottish delicacy - unfortunately we don't hunt them down and catch them in the wild.

A mix of traditional ingredients - and our best selling haggis mix.

You can use traditional ox bungs for this - or try our artificial haggis bungs for something a little less intimidating - both work great!

This recipe uses our haggis starter kit, which comes with a small bag of haggis mix and two artificial bungs - this is ideal for those just starting out - and a steal at just £5.99!

You should be able to get the pluck tops & beef suet easily from your local butcher.

Ingredients

  • Haggis Mix - 250g

  • Pluck Tops - 285g

  • Beef Suet - 185g

  • Water (or Stock) - 280ml

  1. Remove windpipe from plucks. Wash and boil for 30-40 minutes.

  2. Mince the boiled plucks (preferably around 10mm) and add to a large bowl, mince the suet and add to the bowl, mix well.
