This salsa is a great authentic accompaniment to our Birria Taco recipe which also uses a range of our dried chillies.
1 tin plum tomatoes
2tbsp minced garlic
In a large pan or heatproof bowl, add the whole chillies and cover with boiling water, allow these to soak until soft (usually around 10-15 minutes)
Add all ingredients, including the softened chillies to a blender and blend until smooth.
Season to taste with salt, or sugar and add water to loosen if needed.
Serve up with fresh tortilla chips or salad.
